As we move out of winter and into spring, I find myself thinking about momentum. January arrives with so much hope and motivation. We set intentions, make promises to ourselves, and feel genuinely ready to change. And then life does what life does. Work gets busy. Relationships pull at us. Energy dips. Obstacles and adversity show up. Before we know it, some of those New Year’s resolutions quietly fade into the background.
Spring offers us a gentle reset.
Longer days, more sunlight, and new growth all around us remind us that beginnings don’t only belong to January. There is something grounding and hopeful about watching the world come back to life. It’s an invitation to reassess, realign, and restart without shame. Not because we failed, but because being human means adjusting as we go.
If you’ve noticed yourself slipping back into old habits or losing traction on goals that once felt important, here are three simple ways to reestablish momentum:
First, shrink the goal. When motivation fades, it’s often because the goal feels too big or too far away. Discipline grows through small, repeatable actions. Instead of asking yourself to be perfect, ask what one small step you can take today. Five minutes counts. One intentional choice counts. Momentum is built through consistency, not intensity.
Second, reconnect with your why. Goals lose energy when we forget what they were meant to serve. Take a moment to remember why this mattered to you in the first place. What would moving forward give you? What does staying stuck cost you? Motivation follows meaning.
Third, create structure that supports you. Discipline isn’t about punishment or rigidity. It’s about creating rhythms that make follow through easier. Gentle structure, clear boundaries, and realistic expectations help us show up even on the days when motivation is low.
This season of renewal feels especially meaningful to me because it mirrors our own journey with Adaptable. Nearly three years ago, we started this podcast with a simple objective: to share mental health, relationship, and human behavior concepts in digestible, relatable ways so therapists could better support and educate their clients. Alongside that was a deep desire to offer quality, vetted information from a mental health professional to the broader community.
Over time, that commitment to consistency has shown up in tangible ways, including the build-out of a new studio. Creating this space has been both exciting and humbling, a reminder that growth often happens quietly, through small decisions, steady effort, and patience. It represents not just expansion, but intention, a place designed to support deeper conversations, creativity, and connection.
I never could have imagined that this idea would grow into a space with over 100,000 subscribers.
That number fills me with pride, excitement, and a deep sense of purpose. Not because of the metric itself, but because it represents real people benefiting from thoughtful, accessible conversations about mental health and human connection. It’s also a reminder that meaningful goals are achieved through consistent discipline, steady effort, and follow through, even when progress feels slow or imperfect.
Spring doesn’t ask us to rush. It invites us to begin again, gently and intentionally. If something matters to you, it’s never too late to take the next small step forward.
I’m so grateful you’re here.
Much Love,
Kelly

We often see the milestone numbers—the subscribers, the growth, the highlights—but we don’t always talk about everything it takes to get there. The early doubts, the quiet consistency, the moments of wondering if it’s worth continuing when progress feels slow or unseen.
Reaching 100,000 subscribers didn’t happen overnight for us. It was built through persistence, creativity, missteps, and a willingness to keep showing up long before the payoff was visible. Behind this milestone are lessons we learned the hard way, unexpected challenges, and moments of excitement that made the journey meaningful.
In this episode, we reflect on what the first 100K truly represents. We talk about the early days of social media, how the channel has evolved, what it’s been like creating in a new studio, and the persistence it takes to keep showing up and growing an audience. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the journey, what worked, what didn’t, and how staying committed shaped where we are now.
Whether you’re building something of your own or just curious about what happens beyond the highlight reel, this conversation is a reminder that progress is rarely linear, and that every milestone carries a story worth honoring.
