Kelly O'Horo

Kelly O’Horo, LPC, has been a therapist since 2010 and fell in love with EMDR therapy as a client first! She is passionate about being a trauma therapist as she has a lot of personal experience with trauma. She is a mother of 5 (four Veterans) and married to a wonderful survivor of C-PTSD, who is now also a counselor. They have 5 grandkids and, as the matriarch of the family, with an enneagram of 2, she is a natural helper and healer. Kelly believes the therapy office is the classroom for the “life stuff” our clients weren’t taught before, about emotions, coping skills, and developmentally appropriate responses for today. Formerly a public-school educator of 15 years, she enjoys helping clinicians to develop into becoming their best EMDR therapist through the consultation process. Kelly specializes in attachment and implicit trauma and dissociation throughout the lifespan. “The difference between an EMDR therapist that is a carpenter as opposed to a craftsman is rooted in exquisite attunement, excellent consultation, and trust in the process.”

Hello everyone!

I'm thrilled to share the latest updates and insights from our EMDR Basic Training program. As a passionate educator with years of experience in the field, I find immense joy in teaching and guiding new practitioners through the transformative journey of EMDR therapy.

Why I Love to Teach EMDR: Teaching EMDR is not just a profession for me; it's a calling. Witnessing the growth and development of my students as they acquire new skills and confidence is incredibly rewarding. Thanks to over a decade of mentorship from esteemed experts like Katie O’Shea, Deany Laliotis, and Dr. Andrew Leeds, combined with my extensive experience as an EMDR therapist, I have gained the knowledge and tools necessary to deliver comprehensive and effective training. This ensures that each participant leaves with a deep understanding and practical expertise.

What Sets Our Program Apart: Our EMDR Basic Training program is designed with your success in mind. Here are some key features that make our program stand out:

  • Comprehensive Consultation: All consultation sessions are included within the training, providing continuous support and guidance throughout your learning journey.
  • Flexible Schedule: The training spans 8 days over 3.5 months, with only 2 days of training at a time. This structure prevents overwhelm and allows for better absorption of the material.
  • Intimate Cohorts: We keep our cohorts small and intimate, fostering a supportive and personalized learning environment.
  • In-Person Option: For those who prefer face-to-face interaction, we offer an in-person option for the first weekend of training as well as the on-line experience for those who do not wish to travel to Arizona.

Join us and become part of a community dedicated to excellence in EMDR therapy. Together, we can make a profound impact on the lives of those we serve.

What others have said

Kelly, I want to genuinely thank you for the tremendous gift of sharing your remarkable talents! Having been in practice for over a dozen years now, I had definitely felt like I plateaued for a bit in my clinical skills. Right from the start all this felt like a game changer.
I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of lives you will have impacted directly or indirectly.
Kelly's passion, experiences, support, and knowledge lit a fire in me to work smarter than harder for helping humans heal! I cannot imagine being a healer without using this experiential modality to help unlock the trauma that keeps people stuck. Thank you, Kelly, for helping me see a healthier and more efficient path before working and spending time learning on a less fruitful path! So grateful for her kindness and teaching!
Kelly is not only a gifted clinician but also a gifted teacher! The weekend exceeded my expectations!
